This ephemeral waterfall is located in Piopiotahi / Milford Sound, which fortunately for waterfall enthusiasts gets around 6,400mm of rain a year. Shot just before the boat drove under the falls (I got very wet, the camera got a little bit wet).

Homer Tunnel is 1.2km long and was dug by hand. It has enabled visitors to drive to Piopiotahi / Milford Sound since 1954. During summer traffic lights operate and this was shot while waiting at a red light on the south side of the tunnel.

This particularly windy section of State Highway 6, as it passes Lake Wakatipu, is known as The Devil's Staircase. It is difficult trying not to write off your hire car while taking in the spectacular landscape. Shot from the top of a boulder.
